A Request For Information is being distributed this month. It covers many of the transit technologies discussed in the final report, including vehicle tracking, improved management software, en-route information systems and in-vehicle hardware.

Iteris has begun work on an interface tool to let transit providers easily enter and manage data for Google Transit. The interface will allow for easy additions, deletions and modifications of routes and schedules in the Google trip planning tool. Three prototype agencies have been selected to participate in the initial data collection. They are: Ketchum Area Rapid Tranit, Targhee Regional Public Transportation Authority and Pocatello Regional Transit.

Iteris has also begun work on an interface to help transit providers maintain correct and up-to-date information on their transit web sites. Three providers are participating in the prototype stage. They are: Northwest Idaho Community Express, Targhee Regional Public Transportation Authority and TransIV.
