Welcome to the Idaho Statewide Transit Technology web site. The prupose of this site is to provide information about the technologies that can and will be used to improve transit operations at Idaho's transit providers. A Study was performed by Idaho Transportation Department's Division of Public Transportation and the Iteris, Inc. The Study was initiated in July 2006 and completed in July 2007. It assessed the proper use of advanced technologies in public transit operations within the State. The Study focused on identifying pragmatic, cost-effective solutions to the needs of all of the State's transit providers. The project final report identifies several technologies that may be deployed at varying scales to serve small, rural and urban transit providers.
